About the event
Through The Collective Empowerment Project, we have used New York Fashion week (NYFW) in order to gain a larger audience. The organization was just created after trying to do to many platforms. In pageantry our platform is our “Why” and typically consists of Community service projects and volunteer work. The Project is a collective effort throughout the globe to stand up and make a difference. We yearn for others to join over movement and bring awareness for their platform. Our primary focuses are domestic violence, childhood disease awareness and mental health. Our Motto is; Be seen brighter and be heard louder.
We hold two shows a year during NYFW in February and in September. All profits go directly back to the community and help survivors and victims. We work with a women’s/children, men's/children, and young adults shelter in my home state Texas, whom also is a home foster home. We provide clothing, blankets, household goods, welcome baskets, groceries, school supplies and meals. We also work with the local hospitals and St. Jude’s to help make the children more comfortable. We provide blankets, books, cards, and teddy bears throughout the year. This has been a Collective effort since 2014.
